This site is a companion of sorts to my course on Udemy™️ teaching Linux®️ fundamentals for people who are new to Linux®️.

Linux®️ is an operating system. An operating system is software that serves as the interface between users of systems and the hardware they run on. Some examples of operating systems you may be familiar with are Microsoft Windows®️, and Apple's macOS®️.

Operating systems can be for individual use on devices like desktop and mobile computers or on tablets, phones, etc, or for serving information requested or needed by individual users. The latter are called servers.

When you click on a link to a web site in your browser, your computer traverses the Internet, asks the server hosting the site for the content corresponding to the link you clicked for the web page content, and you soon see the page displayed on your computer!
